Jack Kornfield is a teacher, psychologist and author of the international bestsellers BUDDHA'S LITTLE INSTRUCTION BOOK and A PATH WITH A HEART. After graduating in Asian studies in 1967, he joined the Peace Corps and began to study in the monasteries of Thailand. He then trained further as a Buddhist monk in Thailand, Burma and India. In 1975, Kornfield cofounded the Insight Meditation Society in Barre, Massechusetts and later, the Spirit Rock Center in Woodacre, California. He holds a PhD in clinical psychology.
