Author description

It is over 40 years since Eileen Caddy first received personal guidance from a 'still, small voice' inside herself, a source she called 'the God Within'. From that day on she not only lived her personal life by that inner guidance, but also was also instrumental in creating the international spiritual community centred around the Findhorn Foundation in Northern Scotland. Eileen realised that her role was to help others turn within and find their own inner direction, and her books reflect this encouragement to us all. Her books have sold hundreds of thousands of copies throughout the world, in more than 30 languages. Eileen was included in the 2004 New Year's Honours List and awarded an MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) by Her Majesty The Queen for her 'service to spiritual inquiry'. She was also recognised as one of the major spiritual teachers of our times on British television's Channel 4's The God List. She died at the Findhorn Foundation on 13th December 2006
